Hey folks ... I've been reading this board on and off for a while now, normally I just lurk. But I was sucked in and posted a few things today. Which, I know, means you want to see pix of the beast I drive, and to avoid any scolding about posting without saying hello first (how rude!) I am posting this "hey I am here this is my car and I love it (of course)" post. Long story short, I have a 2000 996 I bought in 2003 with 22,700 miles on it coming off a lease. Color is "Mirage Metallic" which seems a bit uncommon, although I did see 2 cars with that color at Parade this year. I am constantly asked what color the car is at PCA events... Options include full leather in graphite grey, litronics, PSM, the DSP Bose sound package, 18" turbo look wheels, center wheel caps. I am not much of a mod guy, but I did swap in clear side markers. hehe I AX and track the car at local PCA DE events. I have a second set of wheels (same 18" turbo looks, from a buddy with a 996 and enuf $$ to decide he wanted the real, hollow turbo wheels.) Toyo Proxes RA-1's on the track wheels which I swap on and off all the time... The last shot is where I had to turn around, as April is too early to make it up to French Meadows on a clear road... but there was NO traffic that day ... Anyway, that's my story... I may now vanish again into the woodwork (busy busy) but now I shouldn't get flamed (in the best most possibly friendly way of course!) for not saying hello ... So far this seems to be the best Porsche board going ... so I am sure I will be around again eventually!
