Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Everyone, My PSE switch (added by the previous owner at a Porsche dealer) functions as it should, with the exception of the back-lighting. When the lights are off, the switch is back-lit, whereas when I turn the headlights on, the switch goes dark. Anyone know how I can go about fixing this? Thanks for the help!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The install was done like 12 years ago and the dealer is 200 miles away, so not really sure that's an option.

POST 4Original post

I remember from my VW cars that if you miss-cable two of the back pins, it does exactly what you say. Solving it should be somehting as easy as change that two cables on the back. Try to get the diagram of the pin layaout, find wich one is providing the power for light, and exchange them.
