Today I found a 2000 996 6 spd coupe and ut has 85k miles on it and is a second owner car, I'm told. Carfax report is solid. The owner wants $30K USD for it. Given the miles is this fair? If it is indeed a "bargain", what should I be on the look out for?? I guess i'm just wary because it sounds too cheap. Thanks in advance to any experts who can help!!
Have you seen it? At 30k sounds like it could be a real train wreck. May be it's been repainted or has bad body work?
I have seen pics and so far they all look really good. Its owned by a dealer and his wife drove it for the last year. Carfax seems to confirm this, at least from a date perspective. He bought it as an end of lease from a leasing company.
Maybe someone on the site can go check it out for you. Also Carfax doesn't always show major accidents.
