Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know this subject might have been asked before, but here I go. I have the Hi Fi stereo installed in my car and I want to make some upgrades, but I have a few questions. The first is the head unit powered or has an external amp or both. I want to maybe upgrade the amp and add new speakers. I know the dash and rear uses a 4" coponents and the doors have a 5 " speaker. How deep is the stock baffle in the door can accept? I want to retain the stock unit because I want it to look stock. Any suggestions on a upgraded amp to work with the unit and speaker upgrades?

POST 2Original post

go talk to Jamie, the owner @ Paris Audio (cell [phone removed]). My initial stereo upgrade used the stock head unit, external amp, x-over and better speakers (under the stock grilles). No too shabby
