Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just back from 2 weeks in the US - one week skiing in Park City, Utah - wonderful - and one week in New York. 911s spotted of all varieties - 0 Boxsters - 1 Cayennes - about a million. Just goes to show like it or not, Porsche have their demographics right. Spizz

POST 2Original post

Last year I went snowboarding down from the top of Snowbird... unreal. I loved Park City. I was drooling over the wide beautiful highways there - and no traffic! I would always be driving 130 if I lived there. You didn't see any 911's in NY? That's really odd... I usually see 1 or 2 during my hour long commute to Stamford, CT. Rob

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

None in NYC - strange - as I saw 3 or 4 en route to airport in Glasgow. Glad you liked Park City too. Spizz

POST 4Original post

Lately I have been seeing a lot more Porsches in my area for some reason (southern NY). Guess people got them during the winter and just started to drive them. I have been to the doctors a lot lately too, so that explains it as well.

POST 5Original post

Friday I took the day off to get the summer wheels and tires put on and just noodle about for a change. Took the scenic route to the dealer and saw in the space of 40 minutes the following: Boxster 996 Turbo 996 C4S Cab 964 993 Turbo Boxster S 944 Turbo Cayenne S Cayenne Turbo Not a bad haul for 40 minutes!

POST 6Original post

I like the fact that they are so un-common around my parts.

POST 8Original post

I really don't see that many Porsche's in my neck of the woods. In my area I've seen a 993 a couple of Boxsters and that's it. I have yet to see a C4S Cab

POST 9Original post

Saw a dark blue C4 in tarrytown 2 weeks ago, but not a cab. Someone just brought a new Porsche in Ossining, but I am afraid I cannot tell what kind. I am new at this, what can I say?

POST 10Original post

Washington DC area: Today Easter, heavy road traffic, rain: Zero Porsche's seen, I drove the truck. # Cayennes seen by me in this area in the last year: 2 # Boxters seen in DC last week: 1 #993 or 996 in the last month: 4 Bottom line: Porsche's are still exclusive OR it's still winter here!!! Cabman

POST 11Original post

you guys need to come down to miami... 911 - see them everywhere, all day boxsters - same cayennes - 1 or 2 a day - florida must be the land of the p-car

POST 12Original post

i also agree with that, florida is the land of the P-car

POST 13Original post

Sarturday the 9th was a pulbic holiday in HK (we do celebrate Easter here)and I went out for a quick spin and between 10:30am to 1:00pm, I noticed the following: 996: 996 Turbo 4 C4S 3 C4 2 C2 2 (excluding mine) GT3 2 (both in black colour) GT2 (my friend's) 993 2 (I am not familiar with 993 and don't know the precise models) 993TT 1 (my friend's) All the C4 and C2 I saw (except mine) are with full porsche or gemballa aerokits. The C4S seems to be stock-equipped. (This is not a Sunday drive organized by the local Porsche Club)

POST 14Original post

geez, you guys see a lot of p-cars in some places! i very rarely see ANY p-cars around here, never mind 996s. when i used to drive to work every day, in the summer i used to see another guy with a black C4 on comm. ave here in boston at least once a week. i don't think he's a member on here though. other than that, i'd see maybe one other p-car on a summer drive! well, i guess i do see a few cayennes now... i don't really consider that a p-car sighting though!

POST 15Original post

I can walk around my block and see: Boxsters 5 996 Cab 1 (mine) 996 coupe 3 996 turbo 1 On a normal drive of 30 minutes I'll see 20-30 911s, 40-50 Boxsters and countless Cayennes B

POST 16Original post

POST 17Original post

I never see any 996 - in my area M3's are everywhere, 996 2 including me -when I drive to the city to meet clients I may see one or two - maybe.. I love not having the same car as everyone else.

POST 18Original post
