During the year 2003 the choice of color for new Porsches was following: Top Five - 911 (Targa,4S, Turbo, Not GT2/GT3) 1.) Artiksilber (Silver) - 26 % 2.) Sealgrau (Grey) - 16 % 3.) Basaltschwarzmetallic (Black) - 15 % 4.) Schwartz (Black) - 12 % 5.) Nachtblau (Blue) - 10% Top Five - Boxster 1.) Artiksilber (Silver) - 23 % 2.) Sealgrau (Grey) - 16 % 3.) Schwartz (Black) - 13 % 4.) Nachtblau (Blue) - 10% 5.) Basaltschwarzmetallic (Black) - 10 % Top Five - Cayenne 1.) Titanmetallic (Silver-Grey) - 21 % 2.) Basaltschwarzmetallic (Black) - 17 % 3.) Kristallsilbermetallic (Silver) - 17 % 4.) Schwartz (Black) - 11 % 5.) Lapisblaumetallic (Blue) - 9 % Worth to mention is that indischrot (red) is no longer on the list, and for GT2 and GT3 the numbers looks about the same, but yellow and red are also on their list. Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Rassel: Nachtblau would probably be further refined to Midnight Blue rather than just Blue. I had a Cobalt Blue Boxster and I'd be curious to find the breakdown on the number of cars Porsche painted in that color as I only saw one other Boxster and a 996 Turbo so it would seem to be a very low percentage.
It's directly translated, thats why I wrote only blue. Didn't want to alter the content from the source. Nachtblau actually means Nightblue in german. So you are absolutley right!
Hmmm....I didn't even know that "Schwartz" was German for black. (I won't take that any further!)
