Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Are alignment specs for cars with 18" 285 and 295 rear tires different than for those with the standard 17" 255 series? After hitting that 2x4 on the frwy ( ) and having to put my stock wheels back on I noticed just how bad my rear tires (285/30-18) are wearing. It has WAY too much camber. The outter portion of the rear tires were at least 1/3 lower than the inside section of tread. The wheel even leaned to the side because the tires were worn so uneven. So I'm guessing the original aligment was done with the smaller rear tires?

POST 2Original post

Alignment specs are the same for both 17" and 18". Only the factory specified ride heights are slightly different, but you don't need to worry about those.
