I'm planning to buy a Bel Vector 990 International to be used in Europe. Does any of you have it?. Is it effective?. Where do you guys put it?. Thanks in advance!

It works great... but probably not on your C4 The reason is that some cars have metal content within the windshield that block the microwaves such as the comon radar frequencies. I have that radar detector and though, its the best windshiled mount radar detector for Europe for its versatility and sensitivety, unfortunatley it doesn't work on my C4 for the above reason so it may not work in yours either likely. So if you want protection in europe for the C4, the sure bet is the Bel 966R, which is remote installed so the antenna goes inside the front bumper. Its not blocked, even more sensitive and its invisible to the cops since detectors are ilegal all across europe except in UK. OK, I just noticed you are in Spain too so best to buy it form UK via web because prices are much better than in Spain's "black market" and your Porsche dealer will probably install it for you. Its an absolute must, incidently, yesterday night I would have been pulled over for speeding (I was cruising at 160-180km/) in the highway by a camouflaged "moving" Ka band radar car from the Guardia Civil if it weren't for the detector giving me the warning to slow down, and a car that I had just overtook previously wasn't so lucky though slower than I was still speeding and was caught.
