Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I would like to know the performance specs of a '01 996 GT3. Anyone knows where I can find out? Engine specs as well. Appreciated!

POST 2Original post

The new 04 GT3 brochure has very detailed info on the 99 GT3. 360Hp. lighter than the current GT3. Most of them on heavy sport design wheels. Based on the C2 body. The current one is based on the C4 body.

POST 3Original post

Take a look here... http://www.flat-6.net/view.php?model...+GT3&tab=oview Not sure about the weights, I know the wheels on the current GT3 are lighter than they were on first gen GT3. Considering they both use the same engine and tranny, I can not imagine the weights would be to far apart. The body for the C2 and the C4 is the same, the chassis differ. Both generations are based on the C4 chasis (as is the TT , GT2, GT3 Cup, and GT3 RSr) as it offers additional chassis reinforcement in the front.

POST 4Original post

Sloth: I read that today at the dealer. It was at the end of the GT3 brochure. Ir shows you (for comparison purpose) the specs on the following cars: 04 GT3 99 GT3 02 C2 04 GT3 RS The Cup car. I was surprised on the weight differences between the 04 and the 99, even though the 99 came with heavy sport design wheels. Do you have that brochure? The salesman told me that every GT3 comes with one. BTW, It was amazing to realize that the front disc brakes are 13.74" almost 14: discs in a 3043 lbs car. AMAZING--

POST 6Original post

I do not have a brochure comparing those cars... wish I did. I did get a hardbound brochure when I got the car.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
