Does anyone have any experience with the Roof Transport system offered as Tequipment for the 996? I was thinking about the base rack, and something to put my bikes on for the summer. Is this good equipment?

I use the one for the cab and it works great! I put the storage box on and go skiing in the winter! Have not used it for bikes though

I second Drannon. I have one on my cab, works great...I use it for bikes and skis...with a little ingenuity, you can adapt a yakima or thule rack to fit the porsche rack system...

so, I could get the base rack of the Transport system, and then amend a Thule or Yakima to fit... cool! Thanks for sharing..

i've got the one for the coupe and i've been able to hook up a yakima bike carrier with great luck! search for "yakima" to see some pics. i'm a big fan.
