Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone have a hard boot for thier convertible. I have seen the ones and Speedster humps, but they seem pricey...any other alternatives?

POST 2Original post

Maybe its a you say tomato and we say tomahtoe thing. Maybe its a US only option. Maybe its a part I/we don't know about. Anyway, for this poor dumb Scouse Limey git. Could you please pray tell what the "hard boot" is and what has it got to do with a speedster hump? Thanks

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I might not have described it accurately. I am looking for a hard shell to fit over the convertible top when retracted.

POST 4Original post

Ahhh! I see. I get the picture. Ebay often has em going cheap. I saw one go for about $400 once.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Great...I will keep looking on ebay. Thanks

POST 6Original post

I think this is what you are looking for... http://www.orciari.it/

POST 7Original post

Oh my Lord! I was thinking of the removeable hard top. No this is entirely different. And even better I was wondering if this sort of thing existed for the 996 Cab. In fact I posted something similar ageas ago but got no replies. I thought it was cos I didn't know what it was called. So this is a speedster hump? It's similar to the one for the Boxter Right? How much is it and where do you get em from? I love it. It looks so cool. I guess you have to get them painted yourself? Cheers

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, you do get it painted yourself. Cost looks like it is around $4000 without painting. But, do much for me. I was looking for something less expensive and more flexible. This looks hard to take off if you want to raise the convertible top.

POST 9Original post

Yes I agree. Too expensive and dificult to remove. Also I see on the web site a reference to glued internal and external parts. Don't like this. If yoy find some other source please do let us know. Cheers

POST 11Original post

Looks like a fat Boxster. This is a picture of my car taken several years ago. Jeff

POST 12Original post
