Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, I collected my 996 from Zuffenhausen-Stuttgart - was a great trip. The night we were at the hotel was a L'Oreal event, so lots of nice things to see :-) Anyway, I kept an eye out for anything 997 and all I could see were special parts boxes on the engine development line marked "997" - but nothing else. Was good to see them made - we were always close enough to touch everything. All 996s and Boxsters go down the same production line with some nice German toty building them. There is only 1 robot and it puts the windscreen on. Anyway, when we did the handover I asked the chappy. He said he's been in a prototype. It has 993 style indicators in the bumper as we know, and the lights, etc. He also said the wider body at the back was nice, better looking exhaust system, and the interior dashboard is also more angular ? Much more 993 inside too. Oh yes another thing I remember - the Odometer dials are more spaced out - like the 993 apparently. G.

Also, the other guy collecting his car on the day was getting his GT3 RS - the first to go to France.
