I currently have a 996 Cabriolet. I bought a good third party extended warranty on it to extend the factory warranty out to 7 years 100,000 bumper to bumper. The main reason I have not considered a 996TT is because I heard you can't get an extended warranty on it. I always buy used (3 years old or so) and I really need the piece of mind that the warranty provides. Especially on a big ticket car like the 996. Now with the 996TT Cab, I am thinking again about the 996TT. Can anyone offer any insight here? I also love how you can get some serious horsepower by turning up the boost via an ECU reprogram or swap. Thanks, Edward

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
