I posted my dislike for the E-gas on my '03 over the summer. At the time I just disliked it, but now I am really getting to hate it. It really makes the car feel unresponsive and I've had a heck of a time blipping the throttle during shifting etc. I'm VERY dissapointed....... * I noticed a recent thread about the 40th anniv. edition coming with mechanical linkage. Is this true? If so any chance it can be retrofitted? TIA

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

LanceK: I think you're mistaken on the 40th Anniversary 911 having a mechanical linkage as it includes the PSM option which requires EGas.
Are there any software upgrades for E-Gas...I really don't like it either.
I have no problem heel & toe throtle blipping on my 02, or problems with e-gas at all. Blipping via heel & toe is harder to master during street driving since you are not on the brakes like you are on the track. With alot of practice, it's easy. When we brake on the street we apply easy at first sqeezing harder. When we brake on the track we start at 100% and modulate softer.
