Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Whoops, did not mean to post a second thread...It's late...hear's the rear

POST 3Original post

Is it me or does that look exactly like a 996 from the side and rear?

POST 4Original post

By most accounts the 997 is supposed to bring the bumper mounted turn signals and the "hips" of the 993 to the 996 (which has been criticized for being rather bland in the narrow body configuration) rather than being a complete redesign.

POST 5Original post

It is the 997 if you look at the front bumper you will kind of see the round headlights and the clear turn signals in the grill of the bumper.

POST 6Original post

They ruined the tail lights...too skinny. And the door handles look really out of place on the 996-like body. At least the rear is a bit wider.

POST 7Original post

How much do you think Porsche "allows" their partially-disguised models to be seen.....in order to get a feel for acceptance by Porschephiles?

POST 8Original post

I believe the front will look more like this, minus the camoflauge lower front bumper, The side does look very similar, and appears not to be wearing too much camouflage. As for the rear & tailights, they seem to be partially covered/shaped by some camouflage, it may be too early to judge what it will look like.

POST 9Original post

The side and rear looks like a 996 widebody. Notice the wider rear end which is like a c4s. If those are the changes, it is very minor.

POST 10Original post

apparently there is a picture iof the 997 in EVO and Autoexpress. can anybody scan the article & picture?

POST 11Original post

Looks like another amatuer's crack at Photoshop. I've seen a lot of that on this board. Kind of lame, eh? BL

POST 12Original post

he explained, he did it to show what HE THINKS the car will look like. (for the front shot that is. Those other photos are seen all over the internet, and i dont believe they are photoshoped.

POST 13Original post

The car behind the one in the last pic has a different fron dam if you notice
