Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone Knows or has instructions to remove the instrument hood on a 996. Is it a complex job ?

POST 2Original post

its fairly easy if your carful, take a plastic spreader or putty thing so as not to scratch anything and pry off those tiny little microphone things to the left and the emergency lights button thing and there will be some hex screws behind that and lift straight up carefully until it pops off

POST 3Original post

I have done it over 30 times on Boxsters for the OBC/trip computer retrofit. Only difference is on a 996 you have an oval trim piece around the hazard switch which needs to be remove so that you can get to the torx screw. Boxster does not have this trim piece.
