Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

According to this months Christophorus (Porsche's sales magazine), the C4S cab is only 30lbs more than the (porky) C4S coupe! Wonder if this means all future cabs will only be 30 lbs more then the coupe? If so, this "might" put the Turbo cab in a different light. It would still be 500 lbs more than a 360 spider, but there are some things you can do to save a few lbs (GT3 seats, ceramic brakes, rear seat removal, hollow spoke wheels, etc).

POST 2Original post

Ben, It says the "body shell" weighs 30 lbs. more than the C4S, not the entire car.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

what else is there that would be different since they say "Despite these reinforcements, however, the body shell of the Cabriolet only tips the scale about thirteen kgs (30 lbs) heavier than the closed version"?

POST 4Original post

One factor is that the Cab obviously doesn't have the hardtop (+ sunroof). OTOH, I don't know whether the "body shell" includes the weight of the top, top cover, motors, etc.

POST 5Original post

Unless you want a slinky, then no chance the convertible will ever weigh 30lb. more than the coupes.
