Need to take my 2001 Arctic Silver and get the bumper replaced this summer. Initially was thinking that I wanted to get the GT3 nose but now am heavily leaning towards the Mashaw Turbo nose for 996 instead. Question is that of a precise color match, espeically since its a metallic silver. Any personal recommendations would be most helpful

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

You may want to take a look at a RUF front bumper. A friend of mine put one on his '99 996, Arctic Silver and it looks awesome. He had the work done in Libertyville somewhere, but you can try O'Hare Autobody too. Good luck.
I had a bumper placed on my Arctic Silver 996 about 2 months ago at O'Hare Auto Body. It did require some blending into the other panels because it is a metallic paint, but the end result was OEM look.
I would suggest Phase One in Tinley Park. I have taken two cars there in the past year for minor body work (deep scratch for one and a dent on my hood from a huge rock on another) and have been extremely pleased with their work. The service is first-rate as well. One of the techs at Rizza Porsche actually recommended them last year and said they actually send most of their work to Phase One. When I originally went there I asked to see some recently completed cars. They had an '89 Turbo, a Lexus, some Jags, etc.--I didn't see any overspray and certainly was happy with the work they did on my cars. Of course, the usual disclaimers apply. However, Paul is the guy I deal with. Good luck in any case.
Thanks guys. I'll take it to both places and have it done whereever it clicks. Gonzo, I just sent a price inquiry for the RUF bumper. It does look awesome! The insurance is picking up the tab so I hope the price is reasonable otherwise they are gonna throw a conniption!
Sentipede, anyone in particular you remember that worked on your car?
