Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys. New to the board and was wondering if anyone had any experience / input on the Tubi exhaust. I have a '99 c4 and have already tried the Champion Motorsport. The dealer swapped it our for the Tubi. Still has the "fart" at low rpm in first gear and now I am trying to solve the problem with an FVD header and new intake set up. Help! I feel like I am just burning through money here.

POST 2Original post

Scott...I wasn't aware that Tubi exhaust was out yet. I was going to wait for their mufflers but couldn't wait any longer and went for GHL's. Do you have any further info. on the Tubi's or is there a website I can check them out at?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Lance- The Tubi website is http://www.tubistyle.it/home.htm Champion is the exclusive US Distributor, so you might as well call them directly at [phone removed]. They are very deep sounding with that gargle when you lift - which is nice. Assuming the header gets rid of that noise at low rpm, I will be a happy guy. Will let the board know how I make out.

POST 4Original post

Thanks. Website is nice but doesn't have a lot of detail on the 996 exhaust. Is it the same basic shape and design as say a Fabspeed or GHL? How much are for the pair? Looking forward to further impressions.

POST 5Original post

There is another place that specializes in tubi exhaust. My friends from the Ferrari board recommend them, as a friend of mine got his for $1200 when original was $2000+. Check it out at www.scuderiasystems.com The guy can get me a tubi, but he kept recommending out of 3 brands, Tubi, Cargraphic, and techart, the Techart was the best. He can provide the Tubi for $2100.

I tried so many different type of intake/exhaust setups on my car and they pretty much end up sounding the same. My previous trying hard quest to make the Porsche sound like a ferrari tubi'd F355 made me waste so much money I should have got a used 355 instead of my porsche back in 2000. Fact is that the Porsche 996 engine always sounds non-racy unless you take out the cats and have a non baffled or straight pipe exhaust system.
