Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just ordered a LUK clutch kit and guess what was inside? Turns out that LUK and Sachs have some agreement and interchange their parts. I know LUK and Sachs are OEM clutch suppliers to Porsche, Audi, etc. and LUK is the OEM flywheel supplier to Porsche. The LUK kit was $340 shipped from partsgeek. http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/199...lutch_kit.html

POST 2Original post

That's a great deal! The Sachs kit over there is $530. Nice buy!

POST 3Original post

that looks like the same size disc for a 1960 's vw bug

POST 4Original post

Thanks for the tip; I ordered one as a spare (the clutch is currently fine), but this price was more than attractive. Mine came with the Sachs disk as well.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Looks like they're out of stock! After I ordered, there were still 2 left, lol. What a difference a new clutch makes....my clutch pedal was sticking and then it started slipping...

POST 7Original post

Just did the clutch today my car. Parts Geek flywheel 417.00 clutch kit 425.00. Now I have to learn how to drive it all over again. Feels great!

POST 8Original post

I guess I should mention it was a Sachs clutch set up and luk flywheel.

POST 9Original post

I spoke too soon. I ordered one for a 3.4, and I need a 3.6. If you need one for a 3.4, and you're in the continental US, I'll sell you mine for $340.
