Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As the title suggests this is my 1st post. Coming over to the dark side from the Corvette Forum. Have been a vette guy for 20+ years and just yesterday purchased my first ever Porsche. Sold an '01 C5 and bought a 2002 C4 Cab, manual 911, (it appears you guys call them 996's). Much to learn, frunk, PO, RMS, IMS etc. This forum appears much more civilized and buttoned down than the CF guys. In two days of driving, love everything about the car, totally different in a good way from the vette. Lastly, I know this thread is useless without pictures. Will take some, figure how to load them to this site and post up. Looking forward to the advice and tips on how to get full enjoyment from this incredible car.

POST 2Original post

Congrats and welcome ! Pics or it did not happen.. How about color at least ? Was the C5 a cab as well ?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the welcomes. Seal Grey, black interior, black top and 18" sport wheels. The vette had the removable transparent roof. For what it's worth the vette guys call their cabs "verts". Like I said lots to learn on my part.

POST 5Original post

Welcome. Pictures can be hosted on something like photobucket, and then linked here.

POST 6Original post

Why no pics yet? We're not that civilized if you don't post pics.

POST 7Original post

Welcome Brighton 911, can't wait to actually see pics of your seal gray cab. Congrats on your purchase.

POST 8Original post

Welcome Brighton 911. I also was a Corvette owner (2005 C6) although I had it only 8 months. Coming from a Honda S2000 that I owned for 11 years and logged 125,000 miles the Corvette just wasn't my cup of tea. With the 911 I feel I get a better blend of the raw power in felt in the Corvette but still retains the nimbleness of loved with the S2000.

POST 9Original post

Brighton congratulations on the purchase and welcome to rennlist I look forward to seeing some pictures of the beaut.

POST 10Original post

Welcome aboard.. It is a different world btw, but there are a bunch of C5,C6 guys and gals in here to help ease you in. Where are you located?

POST 11Original post

Congrats and welcome! Don't worry, this thread can fall into an uncivilized state on occasion... Let's see those pics!

POST 12Original post

Should've swapped engines before you got rid of your Corvette. I kid.. Welcome

POST 14Original post

Welcome aboard. You'll find that CF is much more enthusiastic about mods than Rennlist, but there are some really knowledgeable folks here. Congrats on the new purchase. Now post some da** pics.

As directed by the senior leadership, pics added. I like this forum already, 25 pages of things to know about the 996, how cool is that?
