Anyone in the San Antonio area? A friend is interested in either a 996 or an early Boxster. I do not know much about either. I was hoping maybe someone from rennlist that lives nearby would be willing to give him a hand. He started looking at Craigslist then contacted me. It's for his wife, she has always wanted one. Their budget is a bit low at $20k including any neglected maintenance. I have warned him about cheap Porches and he is smart enough to listen to good advice. I am not sure if he can go much higher with his budget. If you are willing to give him a hand, pm me and I will send you his email. Thanks Jim

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

If he finds a car he likes, send it to Berk at DBC Tuning for the PPI. Berk is no nonsense, and will tell you straight up if its a buy or pass.... http://www.dbctuning.com/porsche-service/
Agree with Canuck. Berk at DBC Tuning will tell you what is good and bad.
My friend has a 2000 Boxster sitting in the garage in California. Just had the 60k service done at Circle Porsche in Long Beach. Car has about 47K on it.

Just came back from checking out DBC Tuning, and found my old mechanic (Mark) working there. Wish I had known he was there or I wouldn't have gone to Jones Autoworks.
