Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

so my wife took the car to work yesterday and was trying to lay down the back seat to store something there. she pulls hard on the lever for some reason and it pops off and ends up in her hand along with a little clip. what's exposed on the back seat is a piece of metal that actually holds the sliding lever in place. anyone know how to re-install? looks like it should be easy, but, no luck so far. not sure where that little clip attaches. thx.

This may sound insane, but you might consider disassembling the release on the other side to get a better idea of how it assembles (and see if you're missing any parts).

POST 6Original post

I would start by looking at a parts diagram like this one http://www.jimellisporscheparts.com/...rchString=Seat

POST 7Original post

the clip slides inside of the handle and then you push the handle back on.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

so stupid... i shoved the clip back into one of the areas that looked where it might fit, then, inserted the plastic lever piece on to it and it's all good.... thx randy...
