Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Yes it is a great article I especially love this part...
quote:
Here's another thing that's hard to teach: Good brakes are worth the money I'm paying for those Brembos. Weiner notes that "Americans who want high-performance cars have no qualms about spending $10,000 to make a car accelerate faster, but they recoil in horror if you suggest they spend half that amount to stop the car faster. Adding horsepower without paying any attention to the brakes is all part of our culture."

POST 3Original post

speaking of brakes, a family member recently picked up an SL55 and I was told that the brakes when travelling over a certain freeway speed move closer to the discs only to be a few millimeters away in distance. This way, when brakes are suddenly applied, that few millimeter gap would save a few tenths of a second which can translate into saving a few feet braking response when over 80mph. Just to show you that all the minor detail in physics can all make a big difference.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
