Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am looking at installing a Becker or Porsche 6 disc CD changer on my 1999 996. Does anybody have a link that would show me the steps involved in the installation. Doug

Loren: I last question and thanks for your prompt reply above. How do i plug the changer into the Stock Radio( do i have to remove the trim on the inside of the car around the radio or can i reach from under the dash to plug it in) My car has the hi fi sound and digital sound option) thanks, Doug

POST 4Original post

Get the "removal tools" from your dealer. justa couple of bucks. Or you can get them from Becker. Then the radio just pulls out.

Here is an even better description... <a href="http://boxsters.addr.com/hacks/cd_changer.htm" target="_blank">Tom Morris's CD Changer install</a> Yes, you just need the Becker Keys (about $1.80) or borrow a set. <img src="http://boxsters.addr.com/images/hacks/keys.jpg" alt=" - " />

Loren our cars look similar. I have 99 C2 with Aerokit , headers Fabspeed exhaust and intake along with some interior options. I have had the car less than a year and have only had a chance to put less than 1000 miles on it. Might as well live in Alaska with the weather in Pittsburgh.
