Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Picked up a 02C2 85k as a weekend car and to keep some miles off my MB E550C. Wow I fell in love with this car. My MB is sitting in garage and it has become my daily driver. The engine was done by PWR in Memphis after reading post I'm not sure if that is good or bad (smile). I plan to enjoy it, drive the wheels off it. Already floating the idea to my wife selling of selling the MB and buying a GT3...

POST 2Original post

congrats. looks good for 85K. Even for a weekend driver, keep up the scheduled maintenance; i.e., fluids, brakes, alignment, cooling system, etc... I think you're headed in the right direction....if you don't need back seats....GT3. Let wifey drive the Cab

POST 4Original post

Congrats, very nice, looks like it has the Aerokit skirts and front bumper.

POST 5Original post

Congrats ! Are those LED tail lamps ? Or just tinted ?

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They are LED got them from a buddy. Just changed out the 3ed brake light out this afternoon looks good.

POST 8Original post

Your Merc is a very nice car, but very few cars on the road look as cool as a GT3...though you may miss the comparably comfy suspension on the E550C

POST 9Original post

Congrats. You are doing the right thing, these cars like to be driven.

POST 10Original post

I hope you end up putting the top down almost every non-rainy day... I love that open top feeling and blast the heater while cruising with the stars above. Welcome to the club!

POST 11Original post

Coincidentally I also have an E550 as well as a 2001 996 Cabriolet (weekend driver). Every Friday afternoon I'm like a child waiting to get home so I can start my weekend with the Porsche. With that said, however, I couldn't imagine giving up the luxury and comfort of my E550 (with airmatic suspension and Logic 7 sound!).

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I traded in my CLS 6.3 and have been missing the extra hp. I enjoy my 996 for the simple fun factor.

Looks very nice. I'm sure the E550 is great too
