Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I spent the day at the Porsche Performance Driving School and what a blast!! I was just blown away at what my car is actually capable of. I would say at most, on the street, Ive pushed my car to 1/3 of its potential. After spending a day at the track I cant understand why I have wasted all of this time just driving my car on the street. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see what his or her Porsche is really capable of. I thought I was a decent driver and I knew a little about technique but this school proved me completely wrong. I cannot say enough good things about the instructors and the program. And I still have another day left!! -Andrew

Don't accept to settle their bill and get out of there unless you're able to pull a 300 meter side slide on 4th gear at 100mph... It's only worth it! Waz

Andrew, this facility, is it located in Alabama, or is there one in the West Coast?

POST 5Original post

I didn't think you drive your own car in the PDE. It is amazing how driving on the track is so different than the street. It is two completely different things. Have more fun, Mike

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The event was held in San Diego, CA in the parking lot of our local stadium. I just got done with the second day and I had a blast! The whole day was spent on the Auto X track and I'm hooked. For all the guys who are thinking about tracking their cars and don't because they think their going to break something, out of the 50+ cars in attendance only one had a problem. A persons clutch went out on him in his high mileage Boxster. I would recommend this school to anyone who is a true Porsche enthusiast who wants to really learn what their car can do. There is nothing like drifting your car through a turn. If youre content with tooling around in your car on a Sunday afternoon you need not apply. This had to have been one of the most exciting experiences of my life. If you guys have the chance I would highly recommend it. -Andrew
