Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Other than looks, will the Gt2 Bumper have a negative or positive effect on the aerodynamics of the C2? I would buy the one from Porsche Precision not some cheap one of ebay. Thanks in advance

POST 2Original post

I think you will get a positive effect. That bumper with the lip should sit lower which will help to remove some of the "floaty" feel from the front end. The cutout at the top of the bumper is designed to increase down force on the front end as well. I've gotten a few parts from Precision Porsche and would highly recommend them.

POST 3Original post

For the effect to be positive, you'd need to have some kind of aerodynamic treatment to the rear of the car also, or you'll be out of balance. Some kind of a wing that produces downforce on the rear would be appropriate not only for aerodynamics, but for appearance.

Wow, I completely overlooked that. Huh, thanks! I guess a GT2 wing, or a GT3 wing is in need. Now I wonder if its all worth it.

POST 6Original post

Fuel efficiency will go down too and you'll have to go pretty fast to notice any handling improvements too.

Thats what I have been reading about the last hour or so. I guess its not so worth it in the end, A proper exhaust, fresh repaint, and leave it as it is.

POST 9Original post

I have a GT2 front bumper on my C2 (link below). I don't have a rear wing although I am still trying to find one that I like. I have had the bumper on for a while now and have never noticed any difference than how it felt with my previous stock bumper. Just wanted to share my experience. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...rior-mods.html

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you! How fast have you gone with the new bumper? The max I would ever see is probably around 120mph, and very rarely. Just wondering if the car would perform differently at that speed.

POST 11Original post

I've definitely hit 100, 105mph, but I haven't maintained that speed for long. Either way, I never felt anything that seemed abnormal or that made me nervous. At those speeds my stock rear spoiler was activated so I'm thinking that does enough to keep the car stable. Good luck to you. Tony at precision porsche can help you with the bumper if you choose to get it. Post some pics if you do it. Aside from mine, I've only seen one other MKII narrow body with the bumper and it was a cab, in my opinion it's better suited for a coupe.

POST 12Original post

I didn't think a bumper from a GT2 (wide body?) would fit on a C2 (narrow body). Are they the same?

the WB/NB is regarding the rear end....

POST 14Original post

Precision porsche makes one that fits a narrow body, can't comment on whether a stock GT2 bumper would fit, see the link in my previous post above, contains pics of my C2 with a GT2 replica front bumper.
