Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I tracked down a water leak in the top of my '99 cab to the front drivers corner. The rubber weatherstripping somehow was ripped (and is now showing metal underneath) such that the window was no longer forming a good seal with the weatherstrip (shown in pic below). I purchased a replacement weatherstrip but am a bit nervous about putting it in. It runs the entire length of the front of the top and appears to be held on by a Cover held by torx screws. Does anyone know, if I take the Cover off, will the canvas top untension from the top frame? From what I can tell from the shop manual, the canvas appears to be glued onto the frame but I want to be sure I don't create a mess by taking off the weatherstip Cover. Some pics are below. This is a bit hard to explain without pics.

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

And here is a pic of the replacement weatherstrip. The long portion runs the length of the front of the Top and appears to be held on by the Cover.
