I am considering putting these springs on. I have seen them on a 2001 turbo and it seemed fine. Anyone had experience w/ them? I have reviewed the M030 ROW Sport setup and it seems to keep the rear high enough to look aesthetically awkward, versus an aftermarket spring or coilover setup. I am more about overall aesthetics and ride quality than overall/overpowering performance. I track the car approx. 10-15 times/year, so super performance is not necessary, but an improvment over stock is sought. What about the H&R coilover setup? Any thoughts? Pictures of H&R spring only equipped cars would be great. thanks everyone. brad

I have H&R's on my 996 C2. I bought it that way but drove a few C2's with a stock setup. The H&R's feel great to me. Not too harsh for me. The stock shocks/struts seem to work pretty well with them too. They are pretty low though. I have the engine guard and I would recommend that you do the same if you go with the H&R's. So far, I haven't scraped anywhere though.
Jakemate, Do you have any photos of how low it looks? I am thinking of doing the same. I understand the H&R Sports are only slightly stiffer than OE (290 vs 250??) Cheers Phil
I have put in the Techart springs and the height is very eye-pleasing. The ride remains somewhat the same and the handling was vastly improved. I can barely fit my finger in the fender gap - it is absolutely perfect for everyday street driving. At the same time I put in a thicker front sway bar - I am sure this helped the handling somewhat as well and ensured that there was no rubbing when cornering fast.
I have the H&R springs as I track the car alot. I would post pics of my car at a recent track event, but I don't know how. I have them in folders on my desktop. If you give good instructions to a not too computer literate guy, I'll give it a try.
Mike, click on the "upload photos" shortcut at the top of the screen.
My 2003 C4-S is having its H&R springs installed as I write. I have before pictures and will take some after images as soon as I get it back. If anyone is interested I will post them when I can. I am also having a B&M shift kit installed and the factory sport exhaust system is being modified so that it is "on" all the time. Regards, DAB.
