I just got around to reading through the December 2013 issue of Panorama today and want to congratulate Jake Raby on the in-depth article on his Cayman 4.2 project. Although I've never met nor even corresponded with Jake, I've read many of his posts here in the 996 forum on Rennlist. We are truly lucky to have his expertise.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

+1. Pretty much the same thing I said a couple of months back. Good article, like the old farmer joke, the man is outstanding in his field! 2003 Carrera 4S Speed Yellow / 1955 356 Continental 1500 Rust Red
Thanks, guys! Its taken 4 years of hardcore development to get where we are with Cayman X and the 4.2 power plant comprised of our own parts developed with LN Engineering. Like the M96, we were bound and determined to be the trail blazers with this engine, thats why the first time I touched one I took it just as big as it would physically go with displacement. Today we are prepping 2014 cars off the showroom floor with these 4.2 engines and then they are being sold at Isringhausen Porsche. Its pretty cool to pull apart an engine from a car with 11 miles on it for no reason, other than to do something that Porsche wouldn't and make it big. Purposely ending warrantees is what we are best at :-)
Its a monster motor, I think Tammy will be faster than Charles in it. I know she looks better.
