Thanks to those who responded to my post yesterday. I've got an appointment with the local dealer in two weeks and it seems from your experiences that these items can be fixed without too much trouble. Note, the clutch pedal squeeking is separate from the switch sound that is normal when you engage the clutch pedal - I think Mooty is correct, it sounds like a squeeky spring that just needs lube. I'll post a follow-up when the service is done. BTW, T.K., I like my Landcruiser so much that I'm trying to figure out ways to rationalize the cost of keeping it! It's just too great a vehicle to give up (as I thought I would when I got the 996)!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Eric, I know how you feel. I still have a '00 Boxter that I can't let go of even with a '02 C2 Cab parked right next to it. Oh well, these kind of problems we can live with right?
