Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello everybody, I'm new to the forum and I just want to introduce myself and my new baby. She is a 2003 C4S arctic silver/boxster red equipped as follows: X51 performance kit small leather package leather front centre console carbon rear centre console carbon gear lever/handbrake alu dials bi-xenon I took delivery of her 2 months ago and now, after 3600 km of petting, I'm going to discover what she really can do. I find her very sexy and premises are very good...I'll let you know... P.S. The forum is excellent and I found a lot of interesting infos I was looking for before ordering it. COMPLIMENTS!

Ambroeus, Good choice! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" /> I have almost the same exact car. Mine is about five months old (despite the fact that my signature still says I'm a waiter)--here she is:

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I never drove a 996 before so I can't do the comparison. It's true that it is very expensive (even though a bit cheaper here than in US) but modifies are quite deep, extra hp are true (I don't trust so much in tuner's promises..and, apart from this, porsche's better know how is out of discussion, 2 years warranty is not compromised and it will be a fairly appreciated option when I'll sell the car I think. Speaking about driving sensation, I didn't push till the red line yet (my dealer reccomended not to do it before 4000 km with x51)so I can say having tried out a stock engine so far since, looking at the curves, extra hp and torque are above 5.5-6k rpm ...to be sincere I'm not so crazy about the acceleration till now and I hope what my dealer told me (i.e. x51 gives the engine a more racing temperament)is true... I'm still confident because those last 1200 rpm are essential for reaching top power and avoiding too much fall of revs after shifting to find the best performances. All I can say is that voice definitely improves around 6000 rpm...
