I am looking at a 2002 996TT with an original msrp around $123,000. Seal gray/gray - nicely equipped (colored crests, seat crests, alum. dials, small carbon package, supple, 6 CD, bose, painted center tunnel, etc.). The car presently has 6,000 miles and the owner wants $104,000 (down from $107,000). Is this fair?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Seems a little high. The market has tanked for TT's and resale values appear to be way down. My guess for a reasonable price for this machine is mid to high $90k's, so you arent very far off. Make sure that that tires are OK. I bought a 996 with 1900 miles on it, but all the miles were track miles. I didnt know that at the time and the dealer didnt tell me. The tires lasted another 3000 miles and had to be replaced. You might post this over on the TT board ...
Thanks for the reply. I know the market for 2001s is in the 90s, but I have yet to find any 2002s there.
Talked to a high volume dealer today and he tells me that in his part of the country that the market for new is dead...although, he told me, he did deliver a nice, nearly new TT yesterday.
