Does anyone know how to remove the switch panel on the center of the dash? I want to install the spoiler switch I got from Boxtey in one of the dummy spots. My panel surround is leather ("03 C4S)and I don't want to gouge it. Thanks

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've never done it, but you might try a search on this forum. I know it's been discussed somewhere.
Easy. Get a very thin (paper thin) plastic ruler and slip it up under one edge down low near the bottom of the panel cover. Use that to pry it out gently. It will come right out with a bit of gentle force. Then you can work your hands around the edges to remove it as far as you need to pull the dummy switch out and wire in the other.
On MY02 and 03 the switch panel and the vent is all one piece. You need to release a clip inside the vent with a small screwdriver to release the panel while gently prying up as Eric suggests. If you are having problems let me know and I'll email instructions with images.
Here is a link. Not the way I would do it, but it will work. Jeff <a href="http://members.cts.com/satellite/b/billster/Boxster/Boxster03Switches.htm" target="_blank">trim removal</a>
