Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2002 Lapis Blue Tiptronic Coupe, MSRP of $79k. How much would you suggest that I could get off of the price?

POST 2Original post

You should be able to buy at $500 or so over invoice....it is late in the year, November is the end of the dealer's quarterly allocation testing and Tip. Coupes are dead in the water.... Go to Consumer Guide web site and price it out....the dealer adds on PDI charges, doc.fees etc....I would shoot for $500.00 over invoice, walk in with check in hand and you have a cash and carry deal....dealers like that If I can help you, let me know

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What's invoice? Edmunds doesnt have it for the Tip models. Invoice on the 6-speed is $9000 under list. He said $69k and no lower. We already tried to get him to go lower and he wouldn't do it.

POST 4Original post

The invoice for a 2002C2 coupe/six speed is $58,574.00 and frieght is $765.00. The invoice for a 2002CS coupe/tiptronic is $61,455.00 and freight is $765.00. The options have an 18% markup over cost....you can do the math....

POST 5Original post

If you want, I can refer you to my salesperson, where I got my 03 C4S. She got my friend who just purchased a new 03 C2 also from her for $9000 off sticker. Let me know if your interested.

POST 6Original post

Hi there, I posted a message a couple of weeks back about leasing a '02 C2 Cab. I was not able to get in on the car I wanted , (seal grey/black) but the dealer is now calling me saying they have 2 '02's left - a Black/Black C2 Cab - $82K and a Artic Silver Targa $79K. They are telling me that they are willing to drop $10k off the price. What do you guys think?

POST 7Original post

Nick If the Msrp is exactly $79,000, then his offer to you at $69,000....perhaps he is making $300.00 or so before his real expenses....I don't know if PCNA is helping the dealers with leftover inventory....but maybe Sounds like a mighty nice offer and more so, if they are going to be the servicing dealer. good luck

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yep, MSRP is $79,025 and they've offered it at $69,025. We've been shopping (for my dad) for a while and just happened to come upon this car. It had everything he wanted except supple leather and the 18" Carrera wheels. It has GT3 rims with PZeros - loud!! They're going to change out the GT3 rims for the Carrera's off of an '03 (with Contis) and credit the difference, which is around $1400. He's very happy with that offer, since he just placed a deposit on it and will probably be picking it up Tuesday or Wed. I will keep you all posted! Anyone want his M5? No more room for it in the garage
