Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I really like the red interior on my sister's boxster. However, she complains that she's getting bored with it as time passes, and she would have preferred black for a long run. Do you get bored by red interior easily? Or will this be a timeless color for an interior color choice? Thank you.

My dad has full read in his 993tt. I didn't really like it at first, but with full carbon everywhere, you get used to it, and with the performance of the car you really don't think about it any longer. I think if she had a boxter s then it would be the same, but I would have rather my dad gotten black as well.

Opinions are like... belly buttons. Everyone has one. Here's mine. Red interior? For a "working" girl's boudoir... Seriously, I think a person should get whatever sort of color they want. Why buy something as expensive/disposable as a Porsche and not get exactly what you want? Cheers, Chris

The only red interior I ever had was a Pontiac Grand-Am rental. That said, I think a red interior is affected positively or negatively by the exterior color. I like the idea of a silver exterior/red interior with either alum or carbon fiber trim. You can break up the red by an ext body color console and seat backs. That would look great.

I'm not a big fan of the "Boxster Red" Porsche carpet because, to my eye, it looks more pink than red. I do like the red leather, however. A good combination might be red leather interior with deviating black carpet.

From my experience, Porsche carpet seems to fade out after a few years if not kept indoors or have tinted windows. Red carpet fades to a lovely shade of pink.

I saw a Boxster Red leather C4S at my dealer the other day.... I hated it. More of an "orange-ish" red to me. Even with the aluminum package it didn't appeal to me. My 2 cents.
