Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My dad needs to get a '99 996 C2 Cabrio PPI'ed sometime soon. He was thinking of taking it to Tif's in Annapolis, where he has his '73 serviced. I know Tif has worked on some 996s but I don't know if maybe there is a better 996 specialist in the area? Thanks!

POST 2Original post

Its a bit far (Tysons Corner Area) but I got my 996 PPI'd at HBL (www.hbloftysons.com). They took thier time and gave me a full report. It was a bit expensive, but worth it for people that you can trust. The head technician came out and gave me a list of issues he found with the car (mostly cosemetic)and I made sure I got them sorted out before the purchase.

POST 3Original post

Hate to disagree with anyone here, but I would not let HBL work on my Bronco II. Go www.pcapotomac.org and you will find several dealers and independent shops that will help you out. For dealers, we seem to have the best luck with Tischer. Ask folks on the Porsche Talk board there to see what they have to say.
