I did a search, but couldn't find it. I try to close the passenger window, it hits the top and immediately rolls back about six inches. I'm forced to leave the window open a small crack. Is this a switch I need to replace? TIA

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Or the window regulator? Is it raining on the back 9?
Maybe it needs a reset. Just keep holding down the button for 5 seconds or so after the glass hits the top (going from my memory).

IF the window actuates then it is not the switch.
try some silicone lube around the window seals. The window is designed to reverse itself any time it hits resistance in its close cycle.

+1 Try a reset. or Wait for the dog to pull his head in first.
