Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have made a couple of calls to local Porsche dealers and the installers they recommended. I was not impressed with the quality of their advice or the depth of their knowledge. So I turn to this forum of knowledgable Porsche owners. I have a 2002 C4S and a small Motorola phone. I'd like to find a nice way to make it hands-free in the car. Would also like it installed in such a way that the radio/cd volume turns down or to mute when the phone rings or when I begin a call. Any suggestions?

Take a look at this. V60 Install in 996 Cab Microphone is mounted just above driver's side of rearview mirror. The dash mic is a pathetic location, so this works well. The mounting bracket was custom made for me - you can make one easily with some brass plate.

Eric: Thanks for the suggestions and the photos. I will be taking copies of this information with me for the installer to follow. I also have a V60 phone, so your example was right on the mark

You may also consider the TechArt phone console which is available in Porsche colors. You can mount any phone system you'd like. This one has a Nokia sitting on it: TechArt parts are available through various Rennlist sponsors.
