Quick question for you pros. Will the 2002 Turbo Hollow Spokes 18x8 and 18x11 fit on a 2002 996 Targa. Some people say I will experience rub in the rear, some people say it will be fine. What do you think? I am debating between the 2002 carrera 5 spokes and the 2002 turbo hollow spokes. Thanks for all of your help! Dan

The fronts are different offsets also. These wheels are for widebody cars like TT and C4S. Porsche makes a nice set of 8s and 10s for narrow body cars (with the right offset, no rubbing etc.).

If you like their looks, you may want to wait for the Turbolook II wheels which Porsche is about to make available for the narrow body with the right sizes and offsets. [quote]I am debating between the 2002 carrera 5 spokes and the 2002 turbo hollow spokes.

If it were my car, I'd get the 18" Carrera wheels. Much better looks for the narrow body and a bit lighter too.
I decided to go with the carrera 18" wheels since the turbo look II wouldn't fit, wrong offset. Next week, getting the 2002 turbo nose installed, will post pics.
I would have voted for the sport design wheels...also look good on a narrow-body. Chrome wheel bolts also add nicely to silver or blue cars. Congrats on getting a turbo nose for your car. Pls post pics. There are a growing number of us who like the Turbo-look in a slim-trim narrowbody
Great looking car, I baught mine with the sport classicII wheels on it. I'm really intersted in adding the turbo bumper on the car. Do any of you guys know how much work that takes? Is it a straight bolt-on affair or does it need minor body work. Will wait for your up-date with the pics, laterz
From what I have heard, the turbo bumper is a perfect fit for the 2002 996, however it requires either cutting the front metal support bar approx. 1" on each side, or replacing it with a turbo metal support bar for ~$700.00. I think cutting it is the way to go. Regards, Dan
On Turbo nose conversions....there are a couple of us who have had it done...and targaman is correct about saving the cost of the front brace by cutting off a little bit on each end. Your biggest expense will be finding the turbo nose with the "eyebrows"..so make sure if you buy one from someone you get all the pieces. Probably will cost $4-500 to paint and install. There is also a situation where the turbo nose is made for the center radiator, so when it's attached to a NA 996 it will leave a space that some people prefer to cover up. You can see daylight if you peer closely thru the center grille beccuase there's no 3rd radiator. The final result looks really cool. If you're in the Northeast I can give you the name of the people who painted and installed my "nose" They did a great job. Turbo nose brace re-fitment
Thanx guys but even though I like the turbo-look nose, I also kinda like the Techart spoiler. The problem with that is that the local dealer won't honour the warrenty if i had that installed. So the only thing left to do is wait for Porsche to add an accesory spoiler.
targaman, the car looks sweet with that rim combination. Love the gleam! Don, is it me, or are the pictures of the rims, upside down?! The things we do for aesthetic beauty. Regards.
Vik...you win the prize for attentiveness. When I took the pic the center crest shield was upside down, so I rotated the pic. Just don't put me in the same category as the photoshop people!
Thanks Vik, I always appreciate a warm compliment from a fellow Porsche enthusiast! Regards, Dan
