Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Would also be curious to know where this information was derived from. Does anybody have the official MSRP's for 02. Would be curious to see the price differential. Interesting to see C4S' at $81K and change. I thought it would be higher than that. Regards.

POST 4Original post

also does 2003 lux tax expiration mean u have to take delivery after jan 1st?

POST 5Original post

After Jan 1st 2003 Luxury tax will be eliminated, this is what I am hearing.

POST 6Original post

FWIW, the only base price for 02 I have if for an 02 C4 Cab @ $83,200 for 6spd and $86,630 for a TipS So, in the case of the C4 Cab we're looking at a little less than 1%. Have no idea about others.

POST 7Original post

Does this mean you MUST take delivery after january 1st?

POST 8Original post

[quote]Originally posted by Moogle: Does this mean you MUST take delivery after january 1st?

My understanding is that it all depends on the sale date. The receipt for the car has to be dated on or after Jan 1st, 2003. Anything before that will still be subject to the lux tax.

[quote] 2003 Delivery pays no Luxury Tax!!!!

Curious to know what is driving the waiving of the miscellaneous tax. Is it something that Porsche has done? Or are there new government regulations? Any links to articles would be appreciated. Additionally, are we sure that the waiving of the Luxury Tax occurs on calender year 2003, and not model year 2003, which would be a few months earlier. Regards.

Saved the URL, tho. Tax Collectors Pound of Flesh IRS does not care about model year. They are interested in calendar dates. Like all your tax forms and deductions, everything starts Jan 1 or ends Dec 31.

POST 11Original post

its cuz the lux tax was to increase 1% every year since its conception in 1993 until this year when the law expires.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
