A good friend of mine is thinking about getting a pre-owned 996 Manual C2 Coupe, but wanted to know the different upgrades that Porsche made to the various 996 models in the past years in order to help him decide. In other words, not the bells-and-whistle add-on options Porsche has introduced and that many of us have opted for) -- technic package, aerokit, sports exhaust, etc., but the basic enhancements made with each successive year. The question primarily relates to changes in hp, steering, brakes, and general aesthetics, etc. I know enhancements include standard clear lenses (2000 onwards), cupholders, a glove compartment, a better sound sytem, throatier exhaust, etc., but not the years these were introduced in. Any chronology would be helpful. If there are archived posts relating to this issue, please let me know. Thanks & regards.
