Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

don, what a fantastic compilation of photos you have put together!love those ruf pedals you have installed-is the installation straight forward?great picture of the 360-believed its got the most beautiful curves ,ever!

POST 2Original post

Thanks for the compliment. Some say I have too much time on my hands....and I guess I do. The RUF pedals are very easy to mount (once you get past the cost (about 600.00). The dead pedal fits right over the rubber pedal built into the car and screws into the rubber. When you take the rubber accel. cover off you'll see that it is plastic. I just put the pedal over the plastic, scribed the holes and they bolt right in (RUF supplies little nuts and bolts). The brake pedal is metal so the drilling is a little harder and the angle is a bit awkward. Attached the same way. Very simple to do.

POST 3Original post

Just wondering why you removed the rubber cover from the accelerator pedal prior to removing the RUF? I thought that it wasn't necessary to do that and you could install the Ruf's over the dead pedal and gas pedal directly? Was it for easier heel-toe? Curious, since I getting ready to install either Ruf or Cargraphic pedals in my TT

POST 4Original post

Sorry I'm late in responding...away for the weekend at Northeast Region Porsche get together at Bretton Woods, NH, at the base of Mt. Washington... Re the RUF pedals. I installed following directions from RUF that stated pretty clearly the rubber should be removed to expose the base on which to screw the pedals in. You could get longer "bolts" in any hardware store. I did attach the dead pedal directly to the rubber though. I did mine for for cosmetics than functional, although they feel gret in every day driving. I suppose if you leftthe rubber on the accelerator and not the brake pedal when installing, you would bring the two pedals closer in height which obviously would facilitate heel & toe...

Don, I was in the silver 993TT traveling behind you during much of the afternoon run. Does this look familiar? And the final destination: Hope you enjoyed it - I sure did. Take care.

that was a great shot. I remember because I was following Ed Fitch (from Cape Cod) in his blue 993C4S. I didn't take any enroute, but got a couple of good ones once we got there. Hope you had as good a time as Cindy and I did. Too bad we couldn't hook up. Did meet a 3 rennlisters there. Couldn't believe there was a total of 135 cars. Pretty good turnout. http://www.986host.com/albums/doncapecod/Bretton_Woods_Spring_PCA_NER_Ramble_006.sized.jpg http://www.986host.com/albums/doncapecod/Bretton_Woods_Spring_PCA_NER_Ramble_010.sized.jpg I call the last one 1hp v 320hp http://www.986host.com/albums/doncapecod/Bretton_Woods_Spring_PCA_NER_Ramble_016.sized.jpg
