Hi Guys, Just checking out specs on '02 C2 Cab as I am now ready to upgrade from the '99 C2 Cab and noticed that the roll-over bar which is std in my '99 C2 Cab is now an optional item - am I mistaken or is that truly the case? I also read from this board that there is to be a powerkit from PAG for the '02 models. Anyone have more details? Just weighing-up whether to order a new car (would be delivered in '03) or purchase used '02 C2 Cab - has most of the options I want and is right colour but at a price. TIA for any input.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Does this diagram help you? I think safety bars pop out when sensors detect "rollover in progress"" target="_blank">http://www.986host.com/albums/doncapecod/Porsche_Transparent.sized.jpg[/IMG]</a>
try again, Don...ok! " target="_blank">http://www.986host.com/albums/doncapecod/Porsche_Transparent.sized.jpg[/IMG]</a>
I give up!
Last time!
Don, thx. I called the dealer this morning and he confirmed precisely what you have posted. The auto roll-over bar which is unique to all 996 Cabs stays. The optional roll-over bars in the option codes is ideally suited to Coupes. BTW are you aware of the supposed Factory Powerkit upgrade for '02 Models akin to pre-'02 models which did offer 20bhp etc? Do you have any specs? TIA
The powerkit for Carreras is option X51 beginning with 2003 models. Pricing is not yet available. Power is said to be 350hp. Good Luck
My wife won't let me get the power kit unless I get her Jewelry or vacation equivalent...and I can't afford both (either, really) I don't think I can do the 02 Power Kit anyway 'cause I have an 02 C4 Cab/TipS. Want to hear a real PIA re rollover thingys for the 02 Cab...The ECU is UNDER the driver's side rollover thingy, so it has to be removed to access the ECU. Wanted to chip the 02 and decided it was a real PIA to do so.
"Want to hear a real PIA re rollover thingys for the 02 Cab...The ECU is UNDER the driver's side rollover thingy, so it has to be removed to access the ECU. Wanted to chip the 02 and decided it was a real PIA to do" They changed it between 01 and 02? On 01s, you do NOT have to remove the rollover protection to access the computer.
Great for 01's, but that doesn't help me with the 02! <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[crying]" /> <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[crying]" />
