Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Either a 8mm or 10mm (forgot) socket can remove the 2 nuts which secure the emblem under the hood. Open the hood and you should see 2 holes there and the 2 nuts are right in there!
Thanks! I thought it was that simple. I don't have my car with me so I could not do a visual. I remember seing the two holes to access them. The hesitation I had was that I ordered and new hood emblem to go with my RUF RGT kit and the new emblem came with two rubber "stopper" looking things. They don't look like the screw or bolt-in in any way. I guess it will make sense when I remove the original. If I remember correctly, the OEM emblem has a rubber backing - I guess to prevent scratching. The new RUF logo I will install has no rubber that goes between the logo and the hood. Should I make one from some thin rubber or just leave it??? thanks
you can try to use some good quality (3M) double-sided tape as the backing of the RUF emblem. This can protect your paint from scratch as well as holding the emblem in place.
Are you gonna take it off before someone else tries it(with the wrong tool) Happened to my neighbours sisters 02 cab. The vandal didnt manage to take it off, but left the emblem loose and moving and a nasty deep scratch too.
Well I did it this morning. I took it off to replace it with a RUF emblem since I am getting the RUF aero kit. Once I was into it, I decided to add a little dab of black silicone to help seal it to the car. I'm not worried about theft where I live...
