Thought I got off the hook, but The MAN said not so fast. Just got a notice of Customs Duty today from DHL (shipping company that delivered my Traffic Pro from Belgium). $43.05 Still, even with the duty, it saved me a couple hundred bucks! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
Gert at Carnewal informed me recently that customs import duty would be betewwn 2.5% to 2.9% plus $5 handling fee. I have not received my order yet, so cannot confirm, but hope that this estimate is correct. Duty is apparently levied after shipments are delivered by DHL in the case of Carnewal, which seems a bit odd to me, but I try not to spend too much time figuring out how the government works.
