Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Afer discovering that the dealer put too much oil in the car, I am know worried that they actually did some damage. I hope I am wrong. My question regards the oil pressure gage. The manual states that the pressure should be 3.5 bar @ 5000 RPM on a warmed-up engine. My engine after warm displays a range of pressures, with it pegged @ 4.8 for most of the RPM range. Can anyone confirm that this is normal?

POST 2Original post

I too frequently see top end range above 4. I do not believe I have too much oil in the car - I have checked it often, and it is mid range on the dip stick. However, I have only had my car for about a month. Hope it helps.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am glad to hear that! Is it also high at idle when it is cold?

POST 4Original post

My bar reads above 4 for most part when warm. Should be ok. Mike

POST 5Original post

I wouldnt worry about it. I would be worried if there was no pressure instead. Just check it regularly and you be fine.
