Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello! New to the forum. Had my 2002 996 since March 2012. I made this video while installing my muffler bypass. (couldn't find any bumper cover removal vids on youtube so I made one) It's my buddy doing the work and me holding the camera (iPhone 4s) You Tube

POST 4Original post

Hey! Thanks for doing that. I've been thinking of removing that cover to straighten my heat shields, but had not gotten around to figuring out how to do it. This saves me scratching my had for sure.

POST 5Original post

I find it easier to reinstall the rear bumper and get the upper edges of the bumper cover aligned properly if the tail lights are also removed, especially if doing so alone.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
