I'm loving the latest Porsche 996TT to my stable, however its got one of these awful in car phone handsets!!! Its the OEM kit, but it just looks like a throwback from the 1980's and REALLY looks crap! Can I easily remove this offensive item without ending up looking like half the middle dash column has been bastardised ? Please help, or I shall be forced to buy some red braces and a pin striped suit!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just play a lot of Soft Cell, Early Madonna, Flock of Seagulls, Wham, and don't worry about it!!!!
The phone is a dealer installed option -- the car doesn't come with the phone from the factory -- so in theory you should be able to take it out without any problem. Can you post pictures of the phone (and the pinstripe suit)?
